SPECTRUM SINGERS

Christine and Anne founded Spectrum Singers in 1999 to provide a variety of opportunities for young singers to rehearse and perform. The group made its debut at the Valentine Singers’ Christmas Concert in December 1999, performing carols and other Christmas items. Since then they have taken part in a wide range of events, performing alongside professional soloists and orchestras as well as in various informal settings.

Who and how………?

The singers range in age from around 10 to 16+, with some singers staying on through their college and university years. The flexible nature of the group enables young people to participate on a project by project basis. Rehearsals are held in school holidays or, occasionally, at weekends and are linked to specific events. Vocal, musical and performance coaching are a feature of Spectrum’s rehearsals.
